The results for the 2007 GCSE examinations come out on Thursday 23rd August 2007.
2007/2008
On Thursday 20th September 2007, Year 11 students will begin academic monitoring, which will last for just over a week and end on Friday 28th September.
In November there will be an Enterprise Day for all Year 10 students in the hall on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th.
Year 11 mock exams begin in December, starting on Monday 10th and running through to Monday 17th. Year 10 progress reports and target GCSE grades are also issued in December, on Friday 14th.
In to the New Year, Tuesday 15th January 2008 is the first of a number of GCSE Science Modules for Year 10 students. The day after on Wednesday 16th the Year 11 mock exam results are published.
In February academic mentoring begins again on Wednesday 6th February for Year 11 students following reports being published on the 5th. Academic mentoring finishes on Wednesday 13th.
Academic mentoring for Year 10 students begins on Wednesday 19th March for a week until Wednesday 26th, which is then followed by Year 10 exams beginning on Friday 28th March and lasting until Friday 4th April.
Towards the end of April there are Modern Foreign Language orals for Year 11 students, which take place on Wednesday and Thursday the 23rd and 24th respectively. There may also be an activity day for Year 11 students on the 25th but this is currently unconfirmed.
In to May and Year 11 Art students will take their Art GCSE on the 8th and 9th May. On Monday 12th May there is a GCSE Science Module for Year 10 students. Revision week and the rest of the GCSE exams also begin on Monday 12th with Monday 19th May marking the start of Year 11 study leave.
In June there is another GCSE Science Module on Thursday 5th for Year 10 students, which is followed by a second Year 10 GCSE Science Module on Wednesday 11th. Friday 20th June marks the end of the Year 11 GCSE exam period and for Year 10 there is another GCSE Science Module on Monday 23rd, which is followed by the issuing of Year 10 progress reports on the 27th. Year 10 students then finish the month by embarking on 2 weeks of work experience on Monday 30th June, which lasts until Friday 11th July.
Finally, Thursday 21st August 2008 is the date for which the 2008 GCSE examination results come out.
