Fairtrade Poetry Competition
Thursday 9th October 2008 was National Poetry Day, and these are the winning entries in our poetry competition. Students were invited to
write a poem on the subject of Work and Fairtrade. The winners were awarded a prize of some Fairtrade chocolate and a voucher to spend
in the @St Mary’s shop in Wendover, which sells a wide variety of Fairtrade goods. They also read their poems at a reception to celebrate
our Launch Day as a Specialist Humanities College on 10th October, to an audience of staff, governors and sponsors as well as our local
MP, David Lidington.
Congratulations to the twelve winners whose poems are featured here, and thanks to all students who entered the competition for their
efforts.
