Useful web links
For each of these you will need a user name and password, and sometimes school
or site ID. Your Maths teachers will be able to provide these.
For each of these you can gain instant access to the resources
Students have been provided with topic lists for their tier of entry by their
maths teacher and should use this and their mock paper self-evaluation as the
basis for their revision.
Revision ideas:
1) Use the website links above , particularly BBC bitesize or mymaths.co.uk (your teacher will provide the user name and password)
2) Use past papers previously purchased from the school
3) Use Lonsdale revision guides and workbooks (sold by the Maths Dept) or any
revision guide and workbook (available from bookshops) to consolidate areas
of weakness.
4) Watch BBC Bitesize Maths Revision videos shown on BBC2. Best to record
them as they are on at night (which in terms of your video is the morning so
remember to set the video the day before)
5) Come to the lunchtime revision sessions, which begin in March, to watch
10 to 15 minute sections if you missed them on TV (Details in Tutor Room and
the Maths Block).
6) Come to the after school revision sessions, which began in February to
revise the advertised topics and to ask any maths teacher for help (Details
in any tutor room and Maths Block).
Good Luck!
