Students are allowed to borrow three books at a time and, like most libraries, there is a system of fines in operation for overdue books. The tariff is posted in the Library, the maximum fine being £1.00 and £3.00 for lost resources.

There are Chromebooks available where students are able to access work done in other areas. The Careers Library is also housed in the Library and contains a comprehensive range of materials ranging from career information to details of Higher and Further education, all of which is updated regularly.

The Library is the main area for Sixth Form silent study during lesson time, but is open every breaktime, lunchtime and for a short period before school starts for all students. An after school Homework Club runs daily for Years 7 and 8 in line with the opening hours shown above.

A black and white and colour photocopier is available for individual copies of materials for use by staff and students.

There is also a selection of DVDs, set texts and pre-recorded television programmes available for students and staff hire.

Members of staff and students are always welcome to discuss with the Librarian any resource needs they may have.
